This is going to be a short one. Probably because I wrote it all in one night. Life keeps me busy, I guess.

Adventures in spam

Over the past month or so, I’ve been getting a lot of spam emails. You’d think that these sorts of emails would try to appear legitimate. The emails I received were anything but. Have a look:

Spam mail. E.G. “T-Mobile” wants to give me a “CrispyJuicyTender” deal. I think I’ll pass.
Fandango wants to give me $40 off flowers, and Lowe’s wants to give me a $50 dollar reward. All in the same email.
A huge batch of spam mail. My favorite is “the bible&blood pressure,” which wants to lower my blood pressure “100% NATURALLY” by calling to get a quote.

This is just a sample of the myriad spam mails I received. And in case you were wondering, I did receive spam for men’s health products that… erm… I’ll spare you the details.

Thankfully, the spam has subsided significantly; I suppose it helps that I blocked all of the offending senders. But every time I cleared out my spam folder, Yahoo Mail decided to suddenly show this:

“Your spam folder is empty! Catch up on ALL the latest AT&T videos. ALL. OF THEM.” Okay, I’m exaggerating what it said, but it certainly feels that aggressive.
Personally, I’d consider this unwanted, and maybe a bit intrusive.

Intentionally or not, Yahoo Mail certainly knows how to deliver an ironic joke.

N Step Steve: part two

This month, I’ve been doing a lot of level design for the game. I’ve reworked and redesigned some areas that I was unhappy with.

Also, when working on one of the levels, I realized I could do a funny thing. Then I realized I could do that funny thing on several other levels, too.

Long story short: the scope of the game has increased significantly. And it’s certainly created a few headaches for me to work out.

A cryptic drawing of circles, crosses, and lines.
Is this a section from my planning document, or an American Football diagram?

I hope you’ll all enjoy the extra content when the game finally launches!

Lately, I’ve been playing Crosscode, Bean and Nothingness, and Patrick’s Parabox. All of them are good games.

That’s all

See ya.
